Tourism Task Force

This group has been created by the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau, in partnership with the Tourism Advisory Committee, to drive specific initiatives that will enhance our local tourism industry. This is a 6-month commitment, and the work done here is vital to achieving our shared goals. The success of this task force depends on the active participation of every member. As a task force, we will operate in alignment with the bylaws of the Tourism Advisory Committee. Our purpose is to take on specific, actionable projects to fulfill the larger mission of promoting our community as a premier tourism destination. To ensure we are effective and efficient, we ask that all members adhere to the following standards: 1. Active Engagement: This is a working group, not just a discussion forum. Members are expected to take ownership of assigned tasks, complete them by the agreed-upon deadlines, and contribute their expertise and effort between meetings. 2. Meeting Attendance: Your presence is critical for our collaborative work. Please make every effort to attend all scheduled meetings. If you must be absent, please notify the task force chair at least 24 hours in advance. 3. Collaborative Focus: Our work is a team effort. We expect all members to share ideas, listen actively, and engage in constructive dialogue with a focus on achieving our shared goals. The effectiveness of our group is dependent on everyone contributing to the work. 4. Accountability: We will hold ourselves and each other accountable for completing tasks and meeting deadlines to ensure the success of our projects. Should a member be unable to fulfill their responsibilities, a discussion will be held with the chair to determine the best path forward for the task force.
