Name: Responding To Active Threat in The Workplace
Date: July 12, 2018
Time: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
We hear it on the news all too often. Employees and students have been wounded or lost their lives. Nobody wants to be caught in a threatening situation, and yet it could happen to you.  Active shooter/threat is a very dynamic situation, decisions on what to do in an Active Shooter or Active Threat situation lie with YOU.  What actions would you take?

This instructor-led course is designed to bridge the gap between responding officers and businesses in an active threat situation.  It is not about fear mongering.  It is about empowering you through education so you can better protect you and your organization. You learn how to prevent, report, and protect yourself and your employees from an active threat during the critical moments while waiting for a police presence to arrive and what to expect from the officers once they are on scene.

In this hands-on session, you will:
• Learn actions to take when confronted by an active shooter situation
• Learn how to cause distraction to the threat
• Establish proper practice for an active shooter, the modern fire drill
• Create effective safety and security protocols
