Mindful meditation is not a grand, difficult practice for the few. It is a simple, relaxing, and energizing practice for all of us. The problem is that most of us don’t know where to start. In this 4-week class, you will learn the basics of mindfulness and meditation, techniques used to calm and restore the body and mind. Classes consist of instruction in movement, breathwork, and meditation. There will be time for questions. No experience or prior knowledge is necessary.
Students will:
- explore mindful movements
- learn simple breath techniques
- learn basic meditations
- begin exploring the five senses as they pertain to mindfulness
